Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1: state government issued new orders

This year's Kannada Rajyotsava ceremony is intended to be celebrated in a special way in view of the completion of 50 years since the naming of Mysuru state as Karnataka. Accordingly, it is hereby directed to make necessary preparations for the implementation of the following points on behalf of the district administration in each district center and to take all related measures.

On November 1, the state government has issued an order that the district commissioners should celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava in all the districts of the state as per the guidelines. In this regard, Kannada and Culture Minister and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Shivraj S Thandaragi has issued a note to all the district commissioners of the state.

This year’s Kannada Rajyotsava ceremony is intended to be celebrated in a special way in view of the completion of 50 years since the naming of Mysuru state as Karnataka. As a part of it, a meeting has already been held under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the format of the program has been prepared.

Accordingly, it is hereby directed to make necessary preparations for the implementation of the following points on behalf of the district administration in each district center and to take all related measures.

1. Nada Gita will be broadcast on all radio stations on November 1 at 9.00 am. At that time all the citizens of Kannada nation stand up to pay respect to the national anthem and request to pay respect to the national anthem as well.

2. Requesting to celebrate Suvarna Sambharam Kite Utsav by flying red and yellow colored kites in the sky at 5.00 pm on 1st November in all the village grounds of your districts.

3. At 7.00 pm on November 1st, Kannada Jyoti will be lit in front of the houses, offices and shops of all the villages in your districts by lighting a lamp.

All District Collectors/All Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers have been requested to issue appropriate circulars regarding all the above aspects and take all necessary steps to make the program a success with the cooperation of all the citizens and associations of the district.
