IMD Issued heavy rainfall alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts, heavy rainfall is expected in several districts of North Karnataka over the next 3 days.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in Bagalkot, Belagavi, and Vijayapura districts. Other districts in the region, including Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, and Yadgir, are expected to receive light to moderate rain and thunderstorms on September 14.

The heavy rainfall warning continues for Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, and Vijayapura districts. Light to moderate rain is also likely in other North Karnataka districts on Monday, September 15.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected at one or two places in Bidar, Kalaburagi, and Yadgir districts. The remaining districts in North Karnataka may experience light to moderate rain on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Residents in these areas are advised to be prepared for potential waterlogging, localized flooding, and disruptions to daily life. The southwest monsoon remains active over the North Interior Karnataka region, contributing to these weather conditions.
