The capital of Karnataka, has been shaken by the roar of heavy rainfall. All the roads in Bengaluru Heavy rainfall are flooded with rain water. Southern hinterland of Karnataka will receive heavy rains for the next 4 days. Heavy rainfall alert in Karnataka for next 4 days, issued yellow alert.
There will be no rainfall in the coastal and northern hinterlands at the moment. India Meteorological department has informed that yellow alert has been announced in all coastal districts only from September 7 to 9. A three-day yellow alert has also been issued for north interior districts. A Heavy rainfall alert and yellow alert has been announced for 4 days from today in almost all the districts of southern hinterland.
Heavy rainfall alert and yellow alert has been announced in Bengaluru for 2 days from today. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that heavy rainfall is expected in Karnataka till September 9 Friday. Bengaluru, 3 districts of Coastal Karnataka and hilly areas of the state are receiving heavy rainfall. Yellow alert has been issued for Kodagu, Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts from today.
Heavy rainfall alert and yellow alert has been issued for Bengaluru city and rural areas as thunderstorms are forecast in many parts of southern hinterland. Also, yellow alert has been given to Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kolar, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumkur districts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as dangerous winds are forecast along the coast.

Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai visited the flood affected areas and directed the officials to respond to the flood affected local residents. The roads in Mahadevpur, Marathahalli, Silkboard, and Outer Ring Roads of Bangalore are flooded and people are struggling to travel.

The companies have written to the government expressing their displeasure over the collapse of infrastructure due to heavy rains. Thousands of houses were flooded across Bangalore.
