Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada are receiving good rains. Thus, Yellow Alert has been announced for the next 4 days. It is raining continuously in Udupi and more than 13 houses have been damaged.

Heavy Rainfall alert will continue today in 10 districts of Karnataka including the coast. Coastal, hilly and many parts of North Karnataka are likely to receive heavy rain today. ‘Yellow Alert’ has been announced in the 3 coastal districts of Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga, in the northern interior districts of Belgaum, Bidar and Raichur today due to heavy rainfall.

Heavy Rainfall alert and a ‘yellow alert’ has also been issued today in the districts of Bagalkote, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Vijayapur, Yadagiri, Bidar, Raichur, Bellary, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Davangere, Mysuru and Mandya in the southern hinterland. While the northern part of Bengaluru city is experiencing heavy rainfall, the southern part is experiencing scattered showers and moderate rainfall. The India Meteorological Department said that the heavy rainfall will continue today.

In this background yellow alert has been declared in Bengaluru city and Bengaluru rural areas. Today, not only Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and West Bengal are likely to receive widespread rainfall. Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram.

Thunderstorms are likely over Tripura, Jharkhand and Gujarat. Heavy rainfrall is likely over Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
