Dussehra Diwali Bumper gift : announced Free electricity for state weavers

Karnataka Minister of Sugar, Textiles and APMC Shivananda Patil said that the government has issued an order to provide 250 units of free electricity up to 10 HP to the weavers of the state and has given Dussehra and Diwali gifts to the weavers of the state.

Addressing a press conference in the city on Saturday, he said that his party had announced that it would provide free electricity to weavers during the election. His government issued an order to implement this announcement on Friday. He said that this is a bumper gift for the weavers on Dussehra and Diwali.

Up to 250 units of 0 to 10 HP will be provided free electricity to the weavers of the state. He said that the government has issued an order in this regard and 35 to 40 thousand weaver families will benefit from this project. He said that the cost of implementing this project will be between Rs 129 to Rs 149 crore.

He said that the government is also planning to supply power at subsidized rate of Rs 1.25 to big weavers for up to 500 units, adding that 80% of the weavers in the state have 1 to 10% HP. There are 20 percent large weavers. percent He said that 80 percent of the weavers will get the benefit of free electricity.

Minister Sivananda Patila congratulated Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the government’s order to distribute free electricity to weavers. State level cooperation week will be celebrated in Vijayapura on November 20.

It has been decided to celebrate this week at DCC Bank premises. The program will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister. DCM DK Sivakumar, Cooperative Minister will arrive. He informed that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also been invited to attend this event.
