Congress government in the state has canceled the Child Care Scheme which was a major scheme of the previous BJP government. The government has ordered the cancellation of 137 childcare centers established by the previous government in 2020-21.
The Karnataka Congress government in the state has canceled the Child Care Scheme which was a major scheme of the previous BJP government. The government has ordered the cancellation of 137 childcare centers established by the previous government in 2020-21 for the maintenance of children under 6 years of age of construction workers.
It was announced in the budget for 2020-21. For this, a total of 137 child care centers including mobile child care centers were opened by spending money from the Labor Department. By this the burden of taking care of the child was reduced and the mother was allowed to engage in employment.
Earlier, based on the report given by the CEO of the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, the Labor Department ordered the cancellation of 137 child care centers including mobile child care centers.

The government is planning to open ‘Kusina Mane’ childcare centers in four thousand gram panchayats across the state soon. Narega will start ‘Kusina Mane’ child care centers in 4,000 gram panchayats at a cost of 40 crores across the state for the care and nutrition of children under 3 years of age.

Speaking in Dharwad, she said that we have already delivered money to 1.9 crore people. Another 5 to 6 lakh people have to be cleared. There is no dearth of funds for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. However, she said that there was a delay due to a technical problem.
15 lakh people had given bank account details without Aadhaar link. There is a delay in paying them. Some people’s accounts were not active. This is too late, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that everything is getting cleared now.
