NHAI hike Toll rate from today: Check latest rate list
NHAI hike Toll rate: Commuters in Bengaluru are indeed facing higher toll rates starting July 1, 2025, on multiple key expressways and roads, leading to what many are calling a “big shock.” These hikes are primarily driven by annual adjustments based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI).
Here’s a breakdown of where the toll rates have increased:
1. Bengaluru Elevated Expressway (Central Silk Board to Electronics City and further towards Attibele): This stretch of National Highway 44, managed by Bangalore Elevated Tollway Pvt Ltd (BETPL) under NHAI, has seen revised rates.

Cars, Jeeps, Vans:
One-way trip: Rs 65 (up from Rs 60)
Same-day return: Rs 95 (up from Rs 90)
Monthly pass: Rs 1,885 (up from Rs 1,795)
Two-wheelers (allowed on certain stretches): Rs 25 for a single trip (up from Rs 20). Monthly pass is also hiked.
Buses and Trucks:
Single journey: Rs 175 (up from Rs 170)
Monthly pass: Rs 5,275 (up from Rs 5,030)
Multi-axle Vehicles (MAVs):
Per trip: Rs 350 (up from Rs 330)
Monthly pass: Rs 10,550 (up from Rs 8,780)
At the Attibele toll plaza (for four-wheelers and larger vehicles):
Cars: Rs 40 per trip (up from Rs 35) and Rs 1,130 monthly.
MAVs: Rs 265 per trip and Rs 7,915 for a monthly pass. Two-wheelers remain exempt at this specific point.
2. NICE Road (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Road): The private concessionaire, Nandi Economic Corridor Enterprises Limited (NECE), has also implemented revised toll tariffs across its seven key stretches from July 1.
Cars and Two-wheelers: Generally a marginal increase of Rs 3 to Rs 5 per stretch for a single journey, depending on the section and distance.

Buses: Will pay an additional Rs 10 to Rs 25 per journey.
Trucks and other commercial vehicles: Also face higher rates across all sections.
For example, on the Hosur Road to Bannerghatta Road stretch:
Cars: Rs 65 (up from Rs 60)
Two-wheelers: Rs 30 (up from Rs 25)
Buses: Rs 195 (up from Rs 170)
3. Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway (Karnataka stretch): The NHAI is also set to begin toll collection on the 70-km Karnataka stretch of the newly opened Bengaluru-Chennai expressway. While the exact rates were being finalized, reports indicated:
Cars: Likely to pay Rs 150 for a one-way trip and Rs 225 for a return journey.
Heavy vehicles: May be charged up to Rs 520 one-way and Rs 780 for a round trip.
These toll revisions are annual adjustments based on inflation, specifically the Wholesale Price Index (WPI). The increases are impacting daily commuters and commercial operators, and may lead to a cascading effect on passenger ticket prices and freight rates.
