State President of State Sugarcane Growers Association Kuruburu Shanthakumar has called for Bengaluru city bandh on September 26 to condemn the release of Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu.

Bengaluru Bandh has been called on Tuesday September 26 to protest against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Various organizations have called for a bandh and an official announcement is yet to be made.

Meanwhile, massive protests were held in Mandya, Maddur, Bengaluru and Bengaluru rural areas on Saturday against the government’s decision to release water to Tamil Nadu. Police arrested former CM BS Yeddyurappa, Basavaraj Bommai and other BJP leaders who were busy protesting in Bengaluru.

A huge rally is planned from Bangalore Bandh on tuesday from Town Hall to Freedom Park. Leaders of some organizations have expressed their opinion that they should bandh Bengaluru on Monday itself. So the leaders of the organizations are expressing the opinion that there should be a show of strength on a large scale in Bengaluru.

The bandh date is officially announced by the meeting held on Saturday September 23. The information will announced soon about which services will be available on the bandh day and which services will be closed . An official announcement is likely to be made under the leadership of Watal Nagaraj. The leaders of the organization expressed their opinion that let’s all go together.
