Bengaluru Power cuts: The residents in Bengaluru city will face a tough time this weekend as Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), Bengaluru’s electricity board has informed that the city will witness scheduled power outages on this Saturday and Sunday, that is, September 10 and 11. During this period, the BESCOM will carry out maintenance works which will lead to power cuts in various areas of Karnataka’s capital. The city is also struggling with flood and waterlogging situation due to incessant rainfall in some areas. On Saturday, the city electricity board has proposed a shutdown in the Tumkur, Chitradurga, Hoskote, and Davanagere major works divisions between 10 am to 4 pm.

In addition to these divisions, the other affected areas can be places coming under the 220kV Guttur-Chitradurga line, Honnenahalli, Haraluru, KM halli, Carmobiles, Hirehalli, Maranayakanapalya, Siddaganga mata, Raitharapalya, Nandihalli NJY and Ranevalves, and Pillagumpa along with its surrounding areas including Mauneshwara, Basaveshwara.

On Sunday, Tumkur, Chandapura and Davanagere divisions will be affected due to the scheduled power outages. Under these divisions, the affected areas include Anekal S/S such as Anekal Town and its surrounding rural areas, Bagganadoddi line, areas feeding from Kumbaranahalli S/S such as Haragadde, Kumbaranahalli, Jigani and its surrounding places.

Honnenahalli, Haraluru, KM halli, Carmobiles, Hirehalli, Maranayakanapalya, Siddaganga mata, Raitharapalya, Nandihalli NJY, Ranevalves, Jigani, Haragadde, Madapattana, Gollahalli, Nandnavana layout, Bukkasagara, Kallabalu, Ashrama Road, Attibele Line, Samandur line, areas feeding from Bagganadoddi S/S such as Indlawadi, Bagganadoddi, Kadujakkanahalli and its surrounding areas.
