According to police reports, the suspect left the bag inside the cafe before the explosion. The movement of the suspect was captured on the CCTV cameras of Rameswaram Cafe in Brookfield area. “We are positive about the leads we are getting in nabbing the culprit,” an official said, adding, “The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has taken up the investigation and seven to eight teams have been formed,”.

According to the CCTV footage, the man was walking frantically, glancing at his watch and pacing faster than a normal pedestrian on the sidewalk. He is seen wearing a cap and carrying a bag on his shoulder. Another person spotted along with the suspect has been arrested by Bangalore Police and is currently being interrogated.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar has given a statement to the media that the BMTC bus was moving that way when the blast took place. We have information that he has come by bus. We will arrest the accused as soon as possible. Our teams are doing well. A timer has been used for the blast and the FSL team is working on it. We will hold a meeting at 1 pm, a meeting will be held by CM Siddaramaiah with high-level police officials on the blast.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced early today that the persons responsible for the incident at Rameswaram Cafe in Bengaluru will be identified and punished. He urged the opposition to refrain from politicizing the incident. Talking to reporters in Mysore, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the CCTV footage of the cafe is being checked.

It has come to know that someone had left a bag in the cafe. He said that the accused in the incident will be punished.
