Virat Kohli Retirement: Social media post hinted, fans get scared.

Virat Kohli went down the memory lane on Saturday morning as he recalled his memorable knock last month in the 2022 T20 World Cup clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan at the 2022 T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli produced one of the best innings of his career to seal a stunning victory for the Men in Blue from a near impossible situation.

“October 23rd 2022 will always be special in my heart. Never felt energy like that in a cricket game before. What a blessed evening that was,” wrote Kohli on social media Twitter.

While many celebrated Kohli’s knock and fans were quick to remember the former skipper’s stunning effort, many felt a sense of fear that it was a retirement post. A lot of fans recalled MS Dhoni’s famous ‘Pal Pal do…’ Instagram post to reveal he was quitting international cricket and felt this was something similar.

With a total of 296 runs and four half-centuries to his name, Kohli ended the 2022 T20 World Cup as the top-scorer. This was the second time in his career that ended the T20 global showpiece event as the top-scorer after 2014. The former India captain is the highest run-scorer in the history of the T20 World Cup.
