Virat Kohli captain for RCB again in IPL 2022

Who will be the next captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team? The hype around the subject isn’t inferior to any other cricketing topic in the country at present by any means. Virat Kohli had decided to step down as the Bengaluru franchise’s skipper after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) retained Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega-auction in January. And searching for new captain but some reports says that Virat Kohli will be a captain for RCB in IPL 2022.

RCB have retained Virat Kohli (INR 15 crore), Glenn Maxwell (INR 11 crore), and Mohammed Siraj (INR 6 crore) ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction in January. Virat Kohli had announced at the beginning of phase 2 of the 2021 edition of the IPL in the UAE that he will quit as captain of the side after this season. Virat Kohli has so far scored 6283 runs in 207 IPL matches since he joined RCB in the inaugural edition in 2008 and led them to a runner-up finish in 2016.

Kohli, who took over the RCB captaincy from Daniel Vettori in the 2013 season, finished with 66 wins and 70 defeats in 140 games as RCB skipper.Considering the developments, many feel that Kohli could be convinced to take up the captaincy at RCB. With the Royal Challengers Bangalore deciding to release a video, teasing fans about their new captain who will be officially announced on March 12, many felt that it could be Virat Kohli.

RCB got chance in group B with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. As per some reports says RCB plan to give one more chance to Virat Kohli to lead team in IPL 2022. RCB may have changed coaches every season since 2016, but they have unshakable faith in Virat Kohli, who has said that he too will stay loyal to the franchise and play for the same team till his last match in the IPL.
