The post went viral in no time and wishes are pouring in for the left-handed batter from different corners. Notably, the left-handed batter also expressed love for his wife in the post. Rajasthan Royals finisher Shimron Hetmyer has left for Guyana mid-way IPL 2022 for the birth of his first child.

The development was confirmed via the franchise with a tweet post. “Shimron Hetmyer has travelled back to Guyana early morning today for the imminent birth of his first child, but he’ll be back soon,” it read along with a heart emoji.

“Shimron Hetmyer has travelled back to Guyana early morning today for the imminent birth of his first child. We are helping him in every way we can, and our best wishes are with him and his wife Nirvani,” RR wrote in a release. “We look forward to Shimron then returning to Mumbai, and resuming duties at the Royals for the remainder of our matches in IPL 2022. All the best, Hettie. We can’t wait to have you back, this time as a father!” it added.

Shimron Hetmyer has been exceptional this season with 291 runs in 11 innings at a brilliant average of 72.75 and strike rate of 166.28. He is one of the strong forces behind RR’s 7 wins in 11 matches for the franchise, they now need a couple of points in the next three matches to enter the IPL 2022 playoffs.
