Ranji hero Chandrakant Pandit is the head coach for Kolkata Knight Riders

Domestic cricket legend Chandrakant Pandit, who has performed brilliantly as a coach in the Ranji Trophy, has been appointed as the new head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL (Indian Premier League – IPL). Chandrakant Pandit is a big name in domestic cricket. The 60-year-old Pandit, who failed to win the Ranji Trophy as a player, won six Ranji trophies as a coach. Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy in 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2015-16 when Chandrakant was the coach. Later, Vidarbha’s Chandrakant Pandit Garadi won the Ranji Trophy twice in a row in 2017-18 and 2018-19. For this great achievement, now an opportunity has come to work as a coach of KKR team in IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders, who won the IPL champions in 2012 and 2014, reached the final in 2021 and were satisfied with the runners-up position.
