LSG all out for 88 runs, Gujarat Titans first team enter playoff in IPL 2022

Chasing a target of 145 runs, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are all out for just 88 runs vs Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 57 of the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, on Tuesday. LSG all out for 88 runs, Gujarat Titans first team enter playoff in IPL 2022.

The KL Rahul-led side are also in a four-match unbeaten run and will be aiming to stretch that against Gujarat Titans. Meanwhile, the Hardik Pandya-led side are second in the standings with 16 points from 11 games (eight wins and three defeats), but with a lower net run rate than LSG.

Gujarat Titans net run rate is +0.120, which is lower than Lucknow’s +0.703. Gujarat have lost their last two matches and will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways.

In fact, Pandya had earlier said that “God is helping” them out after their win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, another last-ball thriller. The all-rounder however added a caveat, that Gujarat Titans “may run out of luck in the knockout games”.

Yes, that’s assuming they are in the IPL 2022 playoffs. But they are not quite there yet. Their first task is to secure a playoff berth.
