Both the Congress and the BJP are in constant talks to bring G.T. Devegowda for their party.Mysuru District In charge ST Somashekar and G.T. Devegowda have met and held discussions in Mysuru. He has already imposed several conditions for joining the BJP. Some reports say that G.T. Devegowda demand ticket for his son.

It is said that he has demanded that I be made a minister if the BJP government comes to power. This was also discussed at a recent Karnataka BJP function in Vijayanagar. Amit Shah and JP Nadda have instructed the state leaders to draw the BJP leaders in the old Mysuru region.

There are already talks to bring several leaders to the BJP. G.T. Devegowda has influenced Mysuru, Hunsur, KR Nagar and HD Kotte. State BJP leaders have convinced the central elite that if they are brought to the BJP, the BJP will gain new strength in the old Mysuru region.
