The decision would draw the curtains on the conflict that has gripped the Congress following its stellar win in the Karnataka Assembly elections. It is said that Siddaramaiah’s name has been fixed for the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka, and the only official announcement is pending from the High Command.

It is said that there is a possibility of officially announcing Siddaramaiah as CM after meeting Rahul Gandhi today. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had expressed his preference for Siddaramaiah to become the CM. A high voltage meeting will be held today at 11 am and an official announcement will be made in the meeting.

As Siddaramaiah and KPCC President DK Shivakumar’s rivalry continues Siddaramaiah has been instructed to come to Sonia Gandhi’s residence. Siddaramaiah had asked for time to meet Rahul Gandhi. On Siddaramaiah’s request, Sonia Gandhi has been instructed to come to her residence.
