Karnataka Govt Formation LIVE: I want only CM post DK Shivakumar demand

Congress leader DK Shivakumar is set to leave for Delhi at 4 pm today. Earlier in the day, Congress leader and close contender for the Karnataka Chief Minister post Siddaramaiah also flew to Delhi from Bengaluru to meet senior party leaders. It remains to be seen who the grand old party’s high command will pick as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka.  I will take it only if CM position is given, if there is no CM position then I don’t want any post in new cabinet. DK Shivakumar has stated that he will not be included in the cabinet.

He does not want any ministerial post. DK Shivakumar is demanding that he only wants the post of CM. KPCC President DK Shivakumar said. We passed a one line resolution. A resolution was passed in the CLP meeting. I don’t know which MLA did what. We have 135 MLAs, there are 135 MLAs including me in the Congress. He said that we have dedicated 135 MLAs to Sonia Gandhi.

MLAs are flocking to Siddaramaiah’s residence. KN Rajanna, HC Mahadevappa, Shivalingegowda, Rudrappa Lamani, Nanjegowda have arrived at Siddaramaiah’s residence. Siddaramaiah’s fans are holding banners and shouting slogans saying that the high command should support Siddaramaiah.

Vishwanath, president of Rakesh Siddaramaiah’s fan club, said that Siddaramaiah should become the CM. Siddaramaiah is not a community leader; he is leaders of all categories. God Mother Chamundi’s blessings are upon him. He said that he will become CM with mother’s blessings.

Fans have offered special pooja to DK Shivakumar as CM. At Sriram Mandir in Vadakunte village of Nelamangala, fans offered puja by beating 1001 coconuts. shouted slogans that DK Shivakumar will be the next Chief Minister.

DK Shivakumar’s daughter Aishwarya wished her father on his birthday in a different way – ‘I am blessed to have a father like you’ – ‘You are a hero in my life’ – Aishwarya posted a video on Instagram and wished her father I love you.
