Jayalalithaa death: issued order probe against VK Sasikala, three others

The Arumugasamy Inquiry Committee was formed to probe the death of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa. The report of this committee was tabled in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday. Jayalalitha doctor KS Shivakumar, then health secretary J Radhakrishnan and former health minister C Vijay Bhaskar were found guilty. The inquiry committee has recommended that an inquiry be conducted into the matter. AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa passed away in December 2016.

The hospital where Jayalalithaa died said that she died on 5 December 2016 at 11:30 pm. The inquiry committee has claimed on the basis of evidence that Jayalalithaa had died on December 4, 2016 between 3:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Recommendation of investigation against many leaders and ministers

Apart from the death of Jayalalithaa in the assembly, the investigation report of the police firing in Thoothikudi in the year 2018 was also presented.

Justice A Arumugaswamy’s committee on Jayalalithaa’s death has also raised doubts on VK Sasikala, who is said to be close to Jayalalithaa. According to the inquiry committee, VK Sasikala, Jayalalithaa’s doctor KS Shivakumar, the then health secretary J Radhakrishnan and former health minister C Vijay Bhaskar have gone wrong and it needs to be probed.
