Stock Market Huge Fall: Investor Lost 3.5 lakh crore in 15 minutes

Indian stock market started with a fall again today. The NSE Nifty dipped below 19,000 to settle at 18,995 as soon as the market opened. As the market opened, the Sensex also fell below 63,700.

Nifty fell below 19000 intraday. This level has been reached for the first time since June 28, 2023. A drop of more than 500 points in the first half hour In the first half hour of market opening, the Sensex traded down 517.17 points and touched an intraday low of 63,472.49. Based on this, a decline of more than 500 points has been recorded and has slipped below the level of 63500.

How did the stock market begin?

In today’s trade, the BSE Sensex opened down 274.90 points, or 0.43 per cent, at 63,774. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty was trading down 94.90 points or 0.50 per cent at 19,027.

Situation of Sensex stocks:

While 29 out of 30 BSE Sensex stocks traded lower, only one Axis Bank managed to stay in the green with a gain of 1.20 percent. The highest decline of 3.13 percent was seen in Tech Mahindra.

Status of Nifty stocks:

If we look at the Nifty stocks, the bearish red mark is strong in 49 of its 50 stocks and only one stock is trading with gains. Only Axis Bank shares saw an increase of 1.28 percent. Nifty’s top loser Adani Enterprises is trading around 3 percent lower.

Condition of pre-collapse ratio:

A total of 2101 stocks were traded in the opening trade on BSE, out of which only 177 stocks were in the green and 1863 stocks were in the red. 61 stocks see no change and 16 stocks see upper circuit. A lower circuit is seen in 99 stocks.

How was the stock market pre-opening:

Today, the market had seen fluctuations in the early part of the stock exchange. The BSE Sensex was seen down 117 points or 0.18 per cent at 63931 levels. But NSE’s Nifty was down 38.85 points or 0.20 percent at 19083.
