Indigo Airlines cabin crew harassed by drunked foreign passanger

Mumbai: A 62-year-old Swedish national has been arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly harassing a 24-year-old cabin crew on an Indigo Airlines flight from Bangkok to Mumbai. In yet another case of chaos at Indigo Airlines , the Mumbai police arrested a 62-year-old Swedish national for allegedly harassing a 24-year-old cabin crew on an Indigo Airlines flight from Bangkok to Mumbai. The man has been identified as Klaus Erik Harald Jonas Westberg. He assaulted a co-passenger for questioning him about this issue. 6E-1052 was reported to have created a ruckus mid-flight on an Indigo flight. The flight attendant said that there was no food on board, and the passengers reportedly became angry and started unruly behaviour. Later this passenger agreed to take the chicken dish. The flight attendant has brought a POS machine to the passenger for which some amount of money has to be paid in advance for serving the food. It was during this time that passenger Klaus Erik Harold Jonas Westberg allegedly touched the hand of the flight attendant under the guise of swiping the card.

Aeronaut Eric Harold Jonas Westberg has taken a class on this. A woman told the Mumbai police that Westberg stood up from her seat and molested the Indigo staff in front of other passengers. Later, the flight attendant said that the flight crew and passengers shouted at the passenger Westberg regarding this.

Westberg was arrested after his arrival at the Indigo Airlines Mumbai airport on Thursday. He was produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court and granted bail. This is the eighth case of indiscipline in India in the last three months. This is the fifth harassment incident recorded between 2017 and 2023. Earlier on an Indigo Guwahati-Delhi flight, a drunk man reportedly vomited on the seat and defecated around the toilet. This incident was tweeted by Bhaskar Dev Konwar.
