India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues heavy rainfall alert in 6 states for next 2 days. The IMD has said that the amount of sunshine will gradually increase in Uttar Pradesh.
The heat may increase further during the day due to the increase in maximum temperatures in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and drizzle are likely in many parts of UP on April 3. The IMD has warned of sun and heavy rain in many states from north to south.

The Meteorological Department has said that due to the spread of the cyclone, heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning are likely in many states till April 4. According to IMD, strong winds are expected over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra from March 2 to April 4.
Along with this, there is also a possibility of rain accompanied by lightning and thunder. According to IMD, there is a possibility of lightning and strong winds in Gujarat on April 1 and 2. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Gujarat, similar weather conditions can be seen in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and interior Karnataka.
At the same time, a warning of thunderstorms has been issued for West Bengal, Jharkhand and Rayalaseema from April 2 to April 4. Along with this, moderate rains with strong winds gusting to 40-50 kmph are likely in Mysore, Hassan, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru and Chamarajanagar in South Karnataka.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and hailstorm are expected in some areas of Kodagu, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru on April 3. On the other hand, there will be cloudy weather in many parts of Rajasthan on April 1. Light rain is expected at some places.
