In December and January, the bank staff went on a phased strike for 13 days. A strike has been called to demand the fulfillment of various demands, including filling up of posts in banks. It is said that the number of employees has been deliberately reduced and customer service is being affected.

Unions have called for a strike against the outsourcing of regular jobs. Employees of private banks will go on strike on December 11. The strike will begin from December 4 and continue till January 20 in various stages.

On December 4, SBI, Punjab National Bank employees will go on a nationwide strike. Bank of Baroda, Bank of India employees went on strike on December 5. Canara Bank, UCO Bank employees will go on strike on December 6. On December 7, the employees of Indian Bank and UCO Bank went on strike.

Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra employees will go on a nationwide strike on December 8. On January 2, the employees of all banks in South India, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana, went on strike. On January 19 and 20, the employees of public sector banks across the country will go on a nationwide strike.
