Now suggested to update your Aadhaar card completely by 14th March 2024. Especially forcing users who have not updated their decades old Aadhaar Card to update their information. They can avail this free update service by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center along with their documents. Helps keep details such as name, date of birth and address accurate and up-to-date.

Step to update Aadhaar online:

Step 1: First visit the Aadhaar self service update portal https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal.

Step 2: After this click on ‘Continue’ to update Address, Name, Date of Birth.

Step 3: Log in using your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number and OTP.

Step 4: Click here to update with valid address, name or date of birth proof.

Step 5: Now enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number in it and click on ‘Send OTP’.

Step 6: Enter the OTP to log in to the Aadhaar account.

Step 7: Enter new address Select ‘Update Address by Address Proof’ option or use ‘Update Address by Secret Code’ option.

Step 8: Then enter the residential address as mentioned in ‘Address Proof’.

Step 9: Select the document type for this address proof.

Step 10: Upload the scanned copy of address proof and click ‘Submit’.

Step to Check Aadhaar Update Status with UIDAI Online:

The Aadhaar update request is received and a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) is generated.
User can check the status of the request using URN (Update Reference Number) number of the given request.
Once the update is complete, the updated Aadhaar card can be downloaded for free.

Keep these points in mind while updating UIDAI:

UIDAI provides list of updated and acceptable documents for address proof on their official website. A service charge of Rs 50 per request will be applicable if you choose to visit an Aadhaar center for renewal. It is most important to apply online first to ensure timely compliance with Aadhaar card renewal.

Also while visiting Nivu Aadhaar Center you should be there with your original Aadhaar Card and this your request form on the date and time you get it.
