Siddaramaiah to Resign Tomorrow: The countdown has officially begun for the leadership transition in Karnataka. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to officially resign from his post tomorrow (Thursday). In line with this development, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has sought an appointment with the Governor at Raj Bhavan for 10:30 AM tomorrow.

This major breakthrough follows a grueling 7-hour marathon meeting chaired by the Congress high command in Delhi. After a crucial one-on-one discussion with party leader Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah agreed to step down, honoring the pre-decided power-sharing formula. As soon as leaders returned from Delhi, political activities intensified in Bengaluru.

Tomorrow morning, Siddaramaiah will host a farewell breakfast meeting at his official residence, extending personal invitations to all cabinet ministers. Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, who is arriving in Bengaluru from Delhi early Thursday morning, will also attend the breakfast.

Meanwhile, as news of the imminent resignation spread, loyalist ministers and MLAs began rushing to the Chief Minister’s residence. Senior ministers Zameer Ahmed Khan, M.C. Sudhakar, Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, and MLA K.M. Shivalinge Gowda, among other prominent leaders, have already met Siddaramaiah to hold detailed consultations regarding their next political strategy.

Reportedly, Siddaramaiah will head straight to Raj Bhavan to hand over his resignation letter immediately after the breakfast meeting.
