Protest in Davanagere against Rs.1000 fee for linking PAN card to Aadhaar card

Davanagere: As assembly elections are approaching, protests against the BJP government are heating up. Now the deadline for linking PAN card to Aadhaar card will end this Friday. Thus, the District Block Congress workers protested in Davanagere district condemning the action of the Income Tax Department. Activists are protesting in front of one center in the city. At this time, activists are holding copies of Aadhaar and PAN cards in their hands and shouting slogans against the BJP government.

The date for linking PAN card to Aadhaar card will expire on 31st of this month. If it is not done within that day, a heavy fine will have to be paid. Rs.1,000 PAN-Aadhaar linking is allowed till March 31 with penalty.

PAN will become inactive after April 1, Rs 10,000 to get new PAN and link. If you do not link PAN and Aadhaar by March 31, your PAN card will become inactive from April 1 itself.
