Karnataka Election 2023: First list of BJP candidates final, countdown to list release

Bengaluru: The 2nd day meeting on BJP ticket discussion in Delhi has come to an end. The list of candidates has been finalized after discussion in the election committee and the parliamentary meeting, and release of the list is pending. The names of 166 candidates have already been released in two lists of Congress for the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023. However, the ruling BJP’s list of candidates is final and may be released any moment today (April 10). The leaders, who have held high-voltage meetings for the last ten to 15 days, have prepared a list of 175 candidates. To whom should it be given? Who should not give it to? How to calm the rebellion? After weighing everything, the high command has prepared a list of candidates, and before the ticket announcement, the BJP leaders will hold another round of meetings.

A meeting will be held today at 9.30 am in Delhi under the leadership of Dharmendra Pradhan, after which the leaders will hold a press conference at the BJP headquarters. Also yesterday evening (April 09) Parliamentary Board meeting was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussions were held for two hours regarding the list of BJP candidates.

In New Delhi, a series of meetings and long discussions are going on for the first list of candidates, but the ticket tension has started for BJP’s sitting MLAs for the Delhi leaders. Because this time 16 or more sitting MLAs will miss the ticket, it is known from the BJP camp itself. Thus, there is a tremor in BJP house and the commotion has started as to who will miss the ticket.

The notification for the election will be published on April 13. Also, nomination submission will begin on April 13. Further, April 20 is the last date for submission of nomination papers and scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 21. As such, the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is April 24. Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on May 10 and counting of votes will be held on May 13.
