BJP Candidate List will be released on 12 April: CM Basavaraja Bommai

Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai on Monday said that the first list of BJP candidates for the Karnataka Assembly Elections to be held on May 10 will be released on Tuesday or Wednesday. BJP Candidate List will be released on 12 April: CM Basavaraja Bommai.

There is no confusion about finalizing the list. Perhaps the first list will be released tomorrow or day after tomorrow, said CM Basavaraja Bommai. It was likely to be released this evening. But as further discussions need to take place, it may be released on Tuesday or Wednesday, Bommai told reporters in Delhi.

“For some candidates more ground report needs to be collected, more information needs to be collected. There needs to be a discussion about the new candidates,” he said. Former Chief Minister and BJP Parliamentary Board member BS Yeddyurappa said that the first list of around 170 to 180 candidates for the 224-member Assembly elections will be released by this evening.

However, speaking in the afternoon, Yeddyurappa said, “Discussions were held yesterday on all the constituencies. Today again our National President JP Nadda called me for some more clarifications. I explained to them. He said that the first list of BJP candidates may be finalized and released this evening or tomorrow.
