7th Pay Commission to be implemented for govt employees immediately after interim report: CM Basavaraj Bommai

Hubli: CM Basavaraja Bommai has said that the report of the 7th Pay Commission for the state government employees is being prepared and it will be implemented as soon as the interim report is received. Karnataka Government Employees will go on strike demanding implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations, cancellation of new pension scheme and re-implementation of old pension system from tomorrow. In this background, there is a possibility that there will be a huge change in the government service of the state from tomorrow.

Government employees will go on an indefinite strike tomorrow following the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendation, cancelling the NPS and implementing the Old Pension System (OPS). Government employees from gram panchayat to Vidhana Soudha along with the ministry will be absent from duty in this strike. In this background there is a possibility of variation in government services.
