4 people killed, 2 serious injured in collision between goods vehicle and private bus

Bengaluru: Four including woman killed in road accident two others injured head on collision between goods vehicle and private bus in outskirts of Bengaluru.

Four persons including a woman were killed on the spot and two others injured in a head on collision between a goods vehicle and a private bus near Chikkanayakana halli in the outskirts of Tumkur in the early hours of Sunday.

Due to the impact the good vehicle was completely damaged and the road was blocked for over an hour. Preliminary investigation revealed that the goods vehicle seems to be at fault as the accident occurred near the center more on the bus lane of the road.

Superintendent of police, Rahul Kumar Shahpurwad visited the spot and supervised the operations. Road is clear, Overspeeding and morning mist seem the reason, the police said.

Head on collision between Bangalore bound SRS travels and chikanayakanahalli bound Tata ace vehicle carrying vegetables and flowers. All the 4 deceased were in the luggage vehicle. Only 2 people in the bus were injured but no threat to life.

The accident occurred at 5:45 am at a place which is 5 kms from tumkur town near congress leader G Parameshwara house. A case has been registered against the bus driver and further investigation is on.
