Three people were killed and three others were injured after a car crashed into a parked truck near the Chalageri toll plaza in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district.
The victims have been identified as Siddharth, 27, Hasan Mukhi, 29, and Yashodabai, 51. They were residents of Nitavalli Mauneshwar Layout in Davangere.
The injured passengers were identified as Soundarya, 26, Sindhu, 24, and one year old child Kashwashree. All three were taken to SS Hospital in Davangere for treatment. Their current condition was not immediately available.
According to the initial information, the car was travelling from Ranebennur towards Davangere when it collided with a truck that was parked near the Chalageri toll plaza. The impact was severe, resulting in three deaths at the scene.
After receiving information about the crash, personnel from the Ranebennur Rural Police Station reached the location and inspected the accident site. A case has been registered within the jurisdiction of Ranebennur Rural Police Station.
