Bengaluru: Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Thursday said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala case will soon submit its detailed report to the state government, and key findings will be revealed during the upcoming Belagavi legislature session.
Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara said the SIT is preparing to file a chargesheet before the court. “Whatever is contained in the chargesheet — the facts, the truth, and the full picture — will become clear once it is submitted,” he stated.
He emphasised that since the government itself constituted the SIT, the team is obliged to submit its report to the government as well. “Only after receiving the report will we know what kind of conspiracy took place and who was responsible,” he added.
On the Bengaluru ATM cash van robbery case, Parameshwara said police teams have gathered substantial leads. “Police are verifying whether the robbers are from Karnataka or outside. They used a vehicle with a fake number plate. We are checking if they fled the state, which vehicle was used to transport the cash, and whether the second vehicle crossed state borders,” he said.
The minister confirmed that the robbers switched vehicles after the heist. “We will definitely catch them. Police are analysing CCTV footage to track every vehicle that moved in the area at the time, as well as all vehicles that crossed state borders,” he assured.
Responding to questions on the government completing two-and-a-half years in office, Parameshwara said the milestone should not be given unnecessary importance. “There is nothing special about two-and-a-half years,” he said.
On speculation regarding a possible power transfer within the Congress government, he clarified: “The high command has not said anything. Only if they direct a change does it become relevant. So far, no such message has come — not even in the CLP meeting. Why should we give importance to something that has not even been discussed?”
