Al- Falah university has terror link history since 2008

In the wake of the recent car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi, police have uncovered a white-collar terrorism network linked to Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Initial investigations suggest a long-standing connection between the university and militants, raising serious concerns about the institution’s role in the larger terror nexus.

Among the primary suspects in the Delhi blast case is Dr. Umar Nabi, who was employed at Al-Falah University. Additionally, Mirza Shadab Beg, a former student of the university and a key figure in the 2008 Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Gorakhpur bombings, has also been linked to the institution.

Beg, a former B.Tech student from Al-Falah University, is believed to have fled to Saudi Arabia following the 2008 Batla House encounter in Delhi. He was last reported to have been in Afghanistan in 2019, but his whereabouts since then remain unknown.

The connection between the university and militants does not end there. Punjab police, following the Delhi blast, recently visited Al-Falah University to gather information from staff and students regarding a 45-year-old doctor arrested in Pathankot. This doctor, who had previously worked as a lecturer at Al-Falah University, is under investigation for his ties to Dr. Umar Nabi, one of the key suspects in the Delhi bombing.

The police investigation into the university’s possible links to radical elements is ongoing, with sources revealing that the university had been a significant point of contact for several individuals involved in high-profile terror cases. The authorities are focusing on whether the institution has been unknowingly or knowingly facilitating the operations of terrorist cells.

In related developments, Al-Falah University has come under increased scrutiny, with authorities monitoring its activities closely. The unfolding investigation suggests that the institution may have been used as a breeding ground for terror sympathizers and operatives, further complicating the security situation in the region.

The investigation continues, with further probes expected into the university’s links to terrorism and the individuals associated with it.
