The case of video shooting in the toilet of a private college in Udupi has taken a serious shape and there are protests by Hindu organizations and BJP to hand over the case to SIT investigation. An FIR has been registered against Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Sharan Pumpwell, Bajrang Dal district coordinator Dinesh Mendon and Udupi district BJP Mahila Morcha president Veena in connection with their provocative statement at the protest meeting on July 28.

Udupi district BJP women’s morcha president Veena had given a speech in the protest. Now the video of her statement has gone viral on social media and the Udupi police have registered a sumoto case against Veena on charges of communal hatred and religious discrimination.

A complaint has been filed against Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Kannada Provincial Secretary Sharan Pumpwell, who had given a provocative speech in the same protest meeting.
