Tragic Bus accident in Nashik Shirdi Highway; 10 died

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has ordered an inquiry to ascertain how the incident took place. At least 10 people travelling in a bus on Maharashtra’s Nashik-Shirdi highway died on Friday morning after the vehicle met with an accident. The bus was travelling from Mumbai to Shirdi. The mishap took place near Vavi Pathare village on the highway. Tragic Bus accident in Nashik- Shirdi Highway; 10 died.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. After speaking to officials, he also directed authorities to immediately shift the injured passengers to hospitals in Shirdi and Nashik and provide them with proper treatment.

Shinde has ordered an inquiry to ascertain how the incident took place.Nearly 10 people died and several others were injured after a bus carrying Sai Baba devotees collided with a truck near Pathare on Nashik-Shirdi Highway.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed condolences on the loss of lives in the tragic accident and announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs each to the families of the deceased. CM Shinde has ordered relevant authorities to conduct an investigation into the incident.
