The injured were shifted to Community Health Center in Bheetergaon with the help of police ambulance. District Magistrate Vishak G Iyer said that rescue work is going on for those who remained in the disaster and all arrangements are being made for the victims. But the government has instructed the police department to investigate the terrible tragedy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences over the tragedy. An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund has been announced for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed his condolences. He also said that after the disaster, the District Collector and other senior officials have been instructed to immediately reach the spot and conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing basis and arrange proper treatment for the injured. He wished the injured a speedy recovery

Senior Ministers Rakesh Sachan and Ajit Pal have been sent to the accident site to oversee relief and rescue measures and are personally supervising the operations.

The transport department is negligent and innocent people are losing their lives. The BJP government should wake up and conduct a rescue operation.
