Terrible road accident in Pakistan: 30 dead, 15 seriously injured

A terrible road accident occurred in Pakistan, a head-on collision between a bus and a car. As a result, 30 people died and 15 people were seriously injured. The accident took place on Karakoram Highway in Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A passenger bus traveling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi collided with an oncoming car in Shitial area of the district. Terrible road accident in Pakistan: 30 dead, 15 seriously injured.

Police and rescue officials rushed to the spot after receiving the information and shifted the injured and dead bodies to the hospital. Defense officials said that the rescue operation was hampered due to darkness. President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister condoled those who lost their lives in the bus accident. He directed the officials to provide better treatment to the injured.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan. On January 29, 41 people were killed when a passenger bus fell into a valley in Balochistan, Pakistan. A bus carrying 48 passengers from Quetta to Karachi collided with a bridge pillar near Lasbela, fell into a valley and caught fire, said Hamza Anjum, assistant commissioner of Lasbela.

Khalid Khurshid directed the administration and all concerned departments to evacuate the injured from the accident site and provide medical facilities. He directed to create a special control room for better coordination and monitoring of emergency response. Dawn reported that on January 29, a passenger coach fell into a ravine in Balochistan, Pakistan, killing 41 people. The incident took place in Lasbela district of Balochistan.
