Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead in Punjab’s Amritsar. The incident took place outside a temple in the city. Shiv Sena leaders were protesting outside the temple and this is when someone from the crowd came and shot Suri. Sudhir Suri Shiv Sena leader shot dead in Punjab’s Amritsar.

Earlier on Thursday, two bicycle-borne men allegedly opened fire near the house of Punjab Shiv Sena leader Ashwani Chopra in Grewal Colony on Tibba Road. The attackers were caught on the close circuit television camera (CCTV) installed outside a nearby house.

The Shiv Sena leaders were holding a demonstration against the temple authorities after some broken idols were found in trash outside the temple premises. During the agitation, some unidentified people shot at Suri.

Earlier, Suri made the news after being arrested on charges of using offensive language against a particular community and provoking religious sentiments in July this year. The Sena leader had posted a video on social media where he, along with some of his associates, were heard saying objectionable words against the community.

Sri Ram Sena founder Pramod Muthalik received death threats

It has come to know that there has been a threat to kill Sri Ram Sena founder president Pramod Muthalik. Speaking to reporters in the city, he said, “Last night, I received life threatening calls from four numbers.

He said that he received death threat calls when he was in Hukkeri of Belgaum district. Those who threatened to kill were speaking in Mangaluru language mixed with Urdu.

Even this morning, death threats have been received. Against this background, a complaint has been lodged at Hukkeri police station in Belgaum district, he said.

There have been so many death threats like this. I am not afraid of death threats. He said that he has lodged a complaint with the police and will investigate and take legal action against those who threatened him.
