Son killed father and raped 50 years old step mother in Odisha

Odisha: After killing his father, a 20-year-old youth raped his 50-year-old stepmother in the state of Odisha. The horrific incident took place on February 5 in Champajhar village under Tomka police station in Jajpur district and the accused 20-year-old Lugu Hembroom was arrested by the police on February 6. The police said that this act took place in the background of a family dispute. Killed father and raped 50 years old step mother.

The murdered person has been identified as 65-year-old Sadai Hembram. According to reports, Sadai Hembram’s son made a living as a daily wage labourer. But the stepmother was constantly fighting with him. Also, because his stepmother did not allow him to stay with his family in Champazar village, he left his family and lived in another village. For all these reasons, the 20-year-old boy was angry with his stepmother.

Meanwhile, on Sunday night, when Lugu came to his father’s place, the stepmother started fighting with him again. As the fight turns to disaster, his father stands by his wife. Enraged by this, Lugu hacked his father to death with a sharp weapon.

He then raped his 50-year-old stepmother and fled the scene soon after. Rape victim and stepmother Tomka complained to the police about this. In the complaint, the stepmother said that her stepson raped her after killing her father on Sunday night.

On the complaint filed by the stepmother, the police have registered a case and started investigation. The police sent the dead body for post-mortem and arrested the accused on Monday. The police said that the medical examination of the accused and the survivor has been conducted.

We are interrogating the youth to know the reason behind the crime. In the background of family strife, a feud had developed between the accused and his stepmother. Because she had restricted the youth to stay at her father’s house, said SK Patra of Tomka police station. The accused was produced in court on Tuesday and remanded in judicial custody.
