Blast at Bangalore Rameshwaram Café: 5 injured, 1 in critical condition

Five people were injured in an explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe in Kundalahalli, Whitefield, Bengaluru this afternoon. It is learned that all the injured belong to the microchip company. Five employees working in a microchip company had come for lunch. Meanwhile, an explosion occurred near the table where he was sitting. As a result, all five were injured. It is known that the condition of one of them is serious.

Swarna Narayanappa, Farooq, Dipanshu and two other employees of the Microchip Company were injured in the incident. Farooq and Deepanshu have been admitted to Vaidehi Hospital. Swarna Narayanappa and two others have been admitted to Brookfield Hospital, where Swarna Narayanappa is being treated in the ICU.

Bangalore Police Commissioner Dayanand has arrived at the scene and is investigating. The relatives of the injured are rushing to the hospital. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwar said that the cylinder did not appear to be involved in the blast and the source of the blast would be known after forensic teams collect and test samples from the blast site.

The injured are not serious and have been taken to a nearby hospital, the home minister said. Footage from the site showed police officers, firefighters and several people outside the cafe. Forensic officials were also seen at the spot.

A bomb disposal squad is also in place. Meanwhile, the police are checking the CCTV footage of the vicinity to trace the events behind the blast. The police said that the cause of the blast is under investigation. The area has been cordoned off as police investigate the blast.
