A minor was raped in sandalwood Actor Darshan’s farmhouse by a worker earlier this week. The incident took place last Monday and came to light late.
It is said that a person who works in the stable for horses in the farmhouse had raped a minor girl belonging to a family of Shivamogga origin which worked in the said farmhouse. The farmhouse is located on T Narasipura road in the city.

A case based on the complaint was registered in the women’s police station here under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
The family from Shivamogga has parents, a son and a ten-year-old daughter as members. Because of certain problems associated with the procurement of the transfer certificate, the daughter, instead of attending school, was living with the family.

The accused happens to be Nazeem, who is from Bihar, who fixes horseshoes to the hooves of horses. The incident reportedly happened on September 13 and the mother filed a complaint on September 15. The police have arrested the accused. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
