MBA graduate found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her rented house in the city’s Gayatrinagar area on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Supriya, a native of Davangere, who was pursuing an MBA and also learning bike riding, according to police sources.

The shocking discovery came to light after neighbours noticed that Supriya’s room had remained locked for two consecutive days. Growing suspicious, the house owner decided to open the door, only to find the young woman’s body in a decomposed state. Police said the body had started to emit a foul smell, prompting immediate alert to the authorities.

A team from Subramanyanagar Police Station rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation. The body was later shifted to a nearby hospital for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Police sources revealed that there were no immediate signs of external injuries, but they have not ruled out any possibility, including suicide or foul play. “We have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) case and are awaiting the postmortem report for further clarity,” said an investigating officer.

According to locals, Supriya had been living alone in the rented house for several months and was known to keep to herself. She had reportedly been under stress related to her studies and job prospects, though police are yet to confirm this angle.

The case has triggered concern in the locality, with residents expressing shock over the tragic death of a young woman. Police are examining her phone records and speaking to her friends and family members in Davangere for more details.

Further investigation is underway.
