Lucknow: Five members of the same family died in this accident. Among the dead are three small children. In a fire incident in a village near the town of Mau Town in Uttar Pradesh, a house caught fire and five members of the same family were burnt alive (Fire Accident) on Tuesday. Rescue personnel rushed to the spot and tried to save lives as soon as the information about the disaster in Shahpur village was available. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem. Commenting on the incident, Mau District Collector Arun Kumar said, ‘Five members of the same family died in this accident. Among the dead are three small children.

Kopaganj police rushed to the spot as soon as they came to know about the matter. Teams of fire brigade, medical and relief personnel rushed to the spot. Officials suspect that the fire may have been caused by a spark from a stove. The Uttar Pradesh government has released Rs.4 lakh to the victim’s family as an emergency relief.
