Collision between Tata Ace and lorry; 6 dead, 5 injured

6 people died in a terrible accident on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway. Six people were killed and five injured when a Tata Ace carrying more than 15 people collided with a lorry on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway at Madhurantagam in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu. As the Tata Ace collided with the lorry from the front, another vehicle coming behind also collided with the Tata Ace.The police immediately reached the spot to rescue the injured passengers and sent them to Chengalpattu Government Hospital. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. The police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.

CM allocates funds for families of deceased

CM MK Stalin has announced a relief of Rs 1 lakh each for the families of the six people who lost their lives in the accident.According to preliminary investigation, the accident took place when the Tata ace with passengers was returning from Tiruvannamalai after the Karthik Deepam celebration.

Six people died and five were seriously injured when a Tata Ace was crushed between two vehicles. The police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers and sent them to Chengalapattu Government Hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem.
