The student, who hailed from Thekkulur, had dinner with her friends and went to sleep on Sunday night, only to be found dead the next day. Upset, the girl’s parents and relatives staged a road roko, stopping government buses on the Thiruthani road. Police forces have been deployed on the ground to maintain law and order while CB-CID officials visited the school to conduct an inquiry. The school has declared a holiday over the incident.

In this regard, the Commissioner of Public Education Department has issued a circular, inviting applications from eligible teachers for the state level best teacher award for the year 2022-23. He said that the date for submission of application was given till 25-07-2022.
Also, in case of submission of any necessary elements, if there are any missing, pending or additional submissions, another opportunity has been given from 26-07-2022 to 27-07-2022 to submit them.
