Software engineer gang-raped: After raping a software engineer, the accused fled leaving her on the spot. While leaving, they also took her bag and mobile phone. A 26-year-old software engineer was gang-raped by 10 people in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. A woman living in Jharkhand was doing work from home and on Thursday evening she was kidnapped and gang- raped by strangers who crossed her while riding a bike with her lover . The young man who was with her was beaten and tortured.
8-10 men stopped the young lady and her lover and asked her to get down from the bike. Then her boyfriend was beaten up. Later, the young woman was taken to a deserted area and gang-raped, police said.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said that a case has been registered in this regard at the local police station and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the rape. The police said that the raped young woman was working in a reputed IT company.

The young woman gave a statement about the violence on her, I was working from home. He said that after finishing office work on Thursday evening, I was riding a bike with my friend when a group stopped us and raped me.
