Mangalore: The doctor checked the child’s physical symptoms and found that the boy had a heart attack. He said that he was dead. A 2nd class student of Kuntinaka village of Sulya taluk of Dakshina Kannada district died of heart attack. The deceased student has been identified as Mokshit (7). He was studying in Kukkujadka Government Senior Primary School. The boy who had come to school had a hot forehead. The teacher called the parents to the school because they were showing flu symptoms.

Mokshit collapsed in front of his father. He immediately picked up his son and went to a private hospital in Sulya town. The doctor checked the child’s physical symptoms and found that the boy had a heart attack. He said that he was dead. Further details of this case are yet to be known.

The recent increase in heart attacks among children has caused concern. Recently, 9th class girl Vaishnavi (14) died of heart attack in Mudigere town of Chikmagalur district. A 13-year-old girl died of a heart attack in Tallur of Kundapur taluk. Anushree, who was studying in class 8, suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness while studying at home and passed away before being taken to the hospital.3rd case in one week.

What causes heart attack in children?

When the blood supply to the body is interrupted, the heart muscles do not function properly leading to serious problems like heart attack.
