Applicants must be a dependent ward or widow of an eligible ex-CAPF & AR, State Police, or Coast Guard personnel.

They must be pursuing a professional degree course (e.g., B.E., B.Tech, MBBS, MBA, MCA) recognized by a government body like AICTE, UGC, or MCI.

Students need to have scored at least 60% marks in their minimum educational qualification (e.g., Class 12, diploma, or graduation).

For renewal, students must secure at least 50% marks in each subsequent year or semester.

Application Details:

Application Portal: The scholarship is managed by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and applications are submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship provides a monthly amount, which varies by gender.
Exclusions: The scheme does not apply to students pursuing courses through correspondence/distance learning or those who are already receiving another scholarship.

PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI):
This scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT).

Eligibility:

Applicants must belong to the OBC, EBC, or DNT categories.

The student’s parental or guardian’s annual income must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs.

The student must be enrolled in either Class 9 or Class 11 at a government-recognized school.

For selection, students are chosen based on their merit, which is determined by their academic performance in the previous final examination.

Application Details:

Application Portal: Applications are accepted on the official National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Application Deadline: The application deadline for PM-YASASVI for the academic year 2025 is August 31, 2025.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship provides a yearly amount to cover school fees and other educational expenses. Class 9 students can receive Rs 75,000, and Class 11 students can receive Rs 1,25,000. The funds are disbursed directly to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
