Hotel Taj in Rishikesh closed for three days by the district administration, after 76 people were found to be COVID19 positive there. The hotel was sanitised and has been closed as a precautionary measure.
India saw a huge spike of 68,020 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to MoHFW, taking the country’s tally to 12,039,644. With active cases soaring past 523,000, India is now the 6th-worst hit country.
