Suzuki Teases New Generation Burgman Scooter Ahead of April 2 Launch in India
Suzuki has released a teaser of the new generation Burgman scooter revealing a fresh headlight design and hinting at major updates before its official launch scheduled for April 2.

Suzuki has created fresh excitement among scooter enthusiasts by releasing a teaser of the upcoming generation of the Burgman scooter. The company shared the glimpse through its official social media platforms confirming that the new model will be officially launched on April 2.
The teaser mainly highlights the redesigned headlight section which appears to adopt a split design. This styling seems to draw inspiration from larger Burgman models such as the Burgman 200 and Burgman 400 that are sold in international markets. The update suggests that the scooter may receive a noticeable design refresh compared to the current model.
Burgman Scooter Success in the Indian Market
The Burgman scooter was first introduced in India in 2018 and quickly became one of Suzuki’s successful products. It also played an important role in popularizing the maxi style scooter category in the country.
Over the past few years the scooter has remained largely unchanged. In 2022 Suzuki introduced the Street EX variant which featured a larger 12 inch rear wheel. Apart from that update the scooter has not seen major design or mechanical revisions until now.
Possible Updates and Design Changes
Industry observers believe the upcoming generation Burgman could receive changes similar to the updates previously introduced in the Access scooter. The Access received a revised chassis and an updated engine along with several internal improvements including changes to the camshaft crankshaft and crankcase.
Although the overall engine performance figures remained the same the internal modifications improved overall refinement and reliability. A similar approach may be followed in the new Burgman where the engine specifications could remain familiar but the scooter may get mechanical improvements and an updated design language suited to its maxi scooter styling.
Launch Date and Current Pricing
Suzuki has confirmed that the new generation Burgman scooter will officially debut on April 2. At present the Burgman range in India is priced between about Rs 93676 and Rs 108000 ex showroom depending on the variant including the Street EX model.
While the Burgman belongs to the maxi scooter category and does not have a direct rival in India it still competes indirectly with popular scooters such as Honda Activa Hero Maestro and TVS Jupiter in the broader scooter market. The upcoming launch is expected to bring fresh attention to Suzuki’s premium scooter lineup.
